Dear Supporter!

I hope you’re doing well. I’m reaching out with deep appreciation for your past support of the Gulf Coast Skateparks Association (GCSA)—whether you donated, volunteered, performed, sponsored, or simply showed up to one of our events. You’ve helped build something powerful in Biloxi, and now we have a chance to take it even further.

We’re formally proposing to the City of Biloxi the transformation of the current DIY skatepark at 205 Hopkins Blvd into a professionally designed, all-concrete public skatepark. This new facility would be built under the I-110 overpass, using the existing city-owned land, and would serve as a safe, inclusive, and long-lasting recreational space for skaters, families, and youth across the Gulf Coast.

Why This Matters:

The DIY park has hosted 7 major events, drawn thousands of guests, and become a true community hub.
We’ve raised over $9,000 locally and built a 10,000 sq. ft. park with volunteer labor.
Weekly meetups average 45 attendees, and our petition has over 1,500 signatures.
The current space lacks safety features, lighting, water access, and permanent infrastructure.
A professionally built park will allow Biloxi to host regional events, attract skate tourism, and offer a safe outlet for youth development.
How You Can Help:

We’re asking our most trusted supporters to submit a brief letter of support to Mayor Andrew “FoFo” Gilich and Biloxi City Hall. Your voice will help show city leaders that this project is backed by real people who care deeply about Biloxi’s future.

You can email your letter to: mayor@biloxi.ms.us And CC me at t.prowant.gcsa@gmail.com so we can include it in our proposal packet.

Every letter counts—and yours could help tip the scale toward making this vision a reality.

Thank you again for being part of this movement. Let’s build something lasting together.

P.S. Also attached is event flyer for Skatin the Coast! We would love to see there!

With gratitude,
