Being a single mother of two boys is stressful, but rewarding at the same time, having emotions including sadness due to the challenges of raising children alone, the emotional burden of managing finances, childcare, and providing support for 2 is really overwhelming feeling loneliness, isolation and lack of social support
Being a single parent is one of the hardest jobs there are; but I feel a rewarding one as well. Yes we are exhausted, running on one hour of sleep and don’t know how but we do.. Times we don’t know what is for dinner so we create a meal out of what we have in the cabinets. We carry the weight of not only the world on our shoulders but our kids too. We healers, we hair stylists ( at least try to be), we are always trying to make up for the other parent being absent. At times we also forget our kids are just kids, they have emotions, they feel stress, tension also, we forget to apologize at times too, because we are always trying to make sure OUR Ship runs smooth. The rewarding parts are when those meals you pulled together are lifetime favorites, that hair style becomes popular, their laughter is louder. Is it easy no, is it trying yes, do we cry yes, do we pray hard yes. ARE WE STRONG YES… HE WILL NEVER FORSAKE US!!
Being a single mom today is incredibly hard because the demands are constant and the support is minimal. I think I can speak for all single moms we are T I R E D! A little help goes a long way. My son will be 16 next month and as much as I want to say things get easier, we just get stronger!
Being a single mother of 5 was something I wouldn't ever expect. Limited resources, lack of support and struggling financially not only hurt women, but also effects the growth of our children of tomorrow.
