There is not a single reason for having split lunches that couldn’t be fixed by simply having longer lunches. I can only speak for Ballard High School, but the one issue that split lunches fixes is that people who get school lunch will be able to get their food more quickly, and overall this new schedule raises way more problems than it solves. For example, since classrooms will be in use during lunch, clubs won’t be able to meet and will have to be pushed to after school, which is not possible for many club leaders. There’s also the issue of test retakes. I know at least for my geometry class, lunch is the only time we can make up or retake tests, which will no longer be possible because of the classroom being in use during lunch. Aside from that, for many students lunch is the only time time that they can relax with their friends and take a break from the stressfulness of school. I understand that this was an executive decision by the district and that individual schools didn’t have a choice in this matter, but splitting lunches makes absolutely no sense for anyone.

Weekly book club meetings are one of my favorite parts of school. With the split lunches, many clubs will be stopped or broken in half. And with over 400 students in my grade, I have almost no classes with my friends. Lunch is the only time at school I see some of them. The split lunches will break apart the communities that have formed in school clubs, and I don’t think that helps anyone.

We spend six hours in class every day, and now we don’t even get a full hour at lunch to ourselves. Students need that time to eat without rushing, talk to friends, catch up on homework, or just take a break so we can focus better in the afternoon. Taking away the hour lunch makes the day feel even longer, and advisory doesn’t give us the same benefits that a real break does

As a sigma i think people should not be driving out to drop their child to school because a livvey dunne rizzed up baby gronk in ohio the skibidi toilet cult decided to flood the streets AKA the hurricane and the skibidis shall not head to school as my schooo called sigma middle school that i attend shall be canceling school for the next 2 days AKA Thursday skibidi and friday skibidi AKA 26 and 27th skibidi and these sigma teachers have me very upset! As i get into trouble for singing skibidi🍔🍔😼Anyways jayden michael lee is a very bad child as he said he will poop on the bathroom stalls!I think we should raise awareness about this!💩🚽
