We may be facing round 2 - possibly new cell tower project.

I got word (still unconfirmed) that Verizon now approached the builder of the planned Memory Care Facility across the street from our community. Two years ago, the cell tower was supposed to be next to the Memory Care Facility and close to the childcare center at the corner of Rancho Santa Fe and San Elijo. Now Verizon allegedly cut a deal to place the tower directly on the roof of the Memory Care Facility. These people are ruthless!

As soon as I got the news this evening, I reached out to the City of San Marcos. There is no official word or notification. I’m awaiting a response from the City to either confirm or deny these rumors. Abby Black of Channel 8 was copied on my email to the Mayor of San Marcos, Rebecca Jones.
