We have horrible internet connection at my school as it is, I don’t need to get more work and not have the resources to do it, with that in turn making me fail or struggle in my senior year.
Nearly all of our classwork is conducted digitally, making it extremely difficult, if not impossible, to complete assignments or have productive learning without electricity. The lack of power leaves the school vulnerable to safety risks, including the inability to monitor security systems or maintain essential safety protocols. This increases the potential for dangerous situations, including school shootings, which is a serious concern for all students and staff.
Many students and staff are suffering or have to worry about the fires, there house may have burn down or the houses of families. And is not that students don't want to go to school, maybe there are parents like mine that don't let there kids go to school because of the bad air, and those students are gone fall behind and have bad grades, all because they actually cared about there well being, and is unfare. Imagine not passing a class because you take care of yourself that's is ridiculous. We need to make any tipe of consideration, we don't know what students are going through. Now if you care for your students and staff you guys have to hear us and make a change.
Akemi speaking: I agree with all the statements. As the fire got worse, schools opened and none of us stayed inside even. These things are taken more seriously elsewhere it seems. We need someone who cares. I love what this is about and wish everyone the best of luck, let's get this so called superintendent out and take steps towards a better future for LAUSD and its people (students, teachers, etc).
My child has been singled out by this principal. My child has adhd and struggles, my child has been bullied nonstop for years, my child’s life has been threatened multiple times, my child is singled out by staff, my child feels like school is not a safe place.
The Lab school provided an amazing opportunity for me as a student at the university of Wyoming elementary education program. In fact, it was one of the reasons I chose to attend UW. Their partnership allowed me to be in classrooms on my campus from the first semester of my program! After talking to others at different universities, they did not have this opportunity. The UW Lab school is an amazing school that not only benefits the students of Laramie, but also the future teachers of this state!
