The arts are an essential part of our culture. They inspire us, offer insights into who we were, are and will be. And, yes, they contribute financially to multiple communities across the country.
Ms. Jaffe has done so much for me and all of her students. So many theater kids finally found a place to belong. I know this class will never be the same without her.
To my knowledge, both last year and this year, Ms. Jaffe has been a humorous, understanding, and leading teacher. These are the teachers needed to make change and open up students minds with a refreshing and creative elective after or in between many core subjects. It is for the school and the students’ own advantage to keep these teachers and not be short sighted and cut the entire elective with its extraordinary teacher out of the school campus.
