This policy already started. My husband, 63, had an appointment on May 2nd. The Clinic insisted he didn't have insurance, even though we provided a copy of the front and back of the insurance card previously. We had to pay $898 so he could see his doctor. His insurance policy paid everything except $228. We contacted the Ombudsman's office and the financial assistance office. They have yet to refund the money or acknowledge their mistake. It's not right on any level.

While online petitions sadly don't do much, what I can say is I stopped taking most of my meds because of medical debt. So now having to pay a copay is ridiculous. So now I can't even see my doctor. And I have a few doctors. My dad has 22 doctors that he sees mutiple times a month. As of this comment, CC has updated their policy, but even with the new terms, I am still forced to pay it at "or else". So what then? I still can't afford it. And you make $1000 for every doctor visit from my insurance. You don't need me $60.

Mental health facilities should focus on helping patients heal/feel better. Keeping them in rooms all day and treating them like criminals is not a good way to help those suffering with mental health conditions, especially in children/teen facilities
