Me and my husband are going threw the same thing right now he got a 2 yrs setoff did the 2 yrs and they set him off again this month it's hard on both sides the family and inmates and they aren't always given the chance that they deserve my husband hasn't been in any kind of trouble the 2 yrs has completed so many classes and programs that they didn't also him to do he just did it on his own he is there on a violation onky no new charges he's kept a job the full 2yrs he's been there you couldn't really ask for a better inmate really but yet they don't grant parole we need to be the voices for the ones that are incarcerated that won't be heard thanks for the Facebook paige it's nice to see someone. Else fighting
To set off or not grant parole to those putting in the work and completed all they can. Have no disciplinary issues. Are a veteran going above and beyond to do what needs to be done knowing they will continue on parole for years to come. I don’t see how set offs and certain denials when eligible and all work is done is any sign of reform. Reform is introducing them back into society after all requirements have been met. Especially when they have a son growing up without a father figure in the most important stages of their life.
Your words truly moved me. I feel your heart, and I want you to know you're not alone. My husband, Arnulfo, is also serving a 35-year sentence and has been incarcerated for 26 years. He, too, was denied parole with the same 2D code—despite creating personal development programs for others, mentoring peers, earning the support of staff, and being recognized as a leader in rehabilitation and reentry work.
It’s heartbreaking to see men like Alexander, who have clearly changed, be passed over time and again. I signed your petition with compassion and prayer—believing change will come. I’m also asking for support in my husband’s case. If you'd like to read and share it, here is his petition:

You’re not alone. Keep going. You're making a difference.
I've had the blessing to know Alexander Ives , personally as a Prison fellowship academy group member and my brother IN CHRIST .
The man I have come to know is not a violent man and that's the truth .
But what I do see is a man who excels in everything he puts his hand to & contributes to his environment.
He has goals set for his release and there is no doubt he will continue to be a asset to the community when released.
As a concerned tax paying citizen I'm requesting that parole please allow Alexander to come home to his family and loved ones .
Thank you
