Moreover, it seems intentional as professors often fail to adequately prepare students for such assessments, and communication is severely lacking with emails going unanswered, creating barriers to academic success and showing a disregard for the educational needs and concerns of these students. This further suggests an environment where students of color are not prioritized, needing immediate reform to ensure inclusivity and support for all students.

I believe we should emphasize a well-rounded education that promotes real learning, rather than putting so much weight on exams that make up 75% of our grades. Specifically the final worth 45%. I feel that our current courses aren’t adequately preparing us for the HESI exam. Moreover, the Realizeit platform doesn’t align well with the HESI or the crucial material we should be learning. It often feels like I’m investing my time and energy in the wrong areas. I urge Herzing to improve our curriculum so we can gain the knowledge and skills needed to become better nurses.

Herzing needs to focus on providing better education and truly preparing us as students to be successful. It's hard to concentrate and excel when grades are weighted so heavily, creating unnecessary pressure and stress.

For me, I’d prefer to focus on a rich education that facilitates learning rather than solely focused on seeing if we sink or swim by traumatizing us with exams that are 75% of our grade. I do really well on standardized tests normally, but these courses are not preparing us for the HESI and the Realizeit is totally misaligned with the exams, HESI, and what we should be learning, so I feel like I’m wasting my energy on the wrong stuff. Please Herzing, please, better prepare us for what we should be learning to be amazing nurses. Our time is really precious and I want to utilize it on the material that matters.
