Access to affordable medicine is a pressing issue globally, with many individuals unable to afford life-saving treatments due to high drug prices. Recent trends reveal a growing concern over pharmaceutical companies pricing practices and the impact on public health. Petitions under this topic address the need for fair pricing, calling for transparency in drug pricing, generic alternatives, and government regulation to ensure affordability.
Notable petitions include one urging pharmaceutical companies to disclose their production costs and justifications for pricing, shedding light on the lack of transparency in the industry. Another petition advocates for policies that promote generic drug competition to lower prices and increase accessibility for patients.

This drug has helped me lose weight resulting in relief of some of the chronic pain I suffer from on a daily basis . I could barely wear a bra from the pain. I tried for 4 months to lose the same weight I just lost in 4 weeks. What happened after I lost it killing by body to do so and not being able to do anything but exercise an hour a day? Prednisone for a month for autominnue issues put it back on in 3 weeks. Why should we have surgeries when we can prevent other diseases, improve our health and our quality of life? Because the 1% loses money. I stopped taking other medications since taking this. Stop being gready! You hand out needles to addicts let the public have the tools they need to assist in their long term health goals. Anything else is just being grimey lowlife drug dealers
After using other weight loss drugs, my primary doctor prescribed GLS-1. It is not covered by my insurance, only one of the several pharmacies carry the brand prescription and I can not afford to pay the costs of brand prescriptions. I have arthritis in both my knees and it is imperative that I lose weight. If the compound medication is not available I will not be able to use this medication.
As someone who struggles with insulin resistance PCOS it’s not a matter of if but WHEN I will have diabetes. It’s awful that we have medication at our hands that can prevent diabetes yet we’re not allowed to have it without being diabetic. Not to mention diabetes automatically cuts your life short and I’m a parent of a special needs child and can not have my life cut short due to something my body can not control. These companies need to do better!
I can't afford big pharma prices and they do this on purpose. This is the only solution for me and now to have it being taken away while the rich enjoy is just another slap in the face. I just want to be healthy and happy in a body I can rely on.
My insurance will never cover these meds for weight loss. I have used compounded tirzepatide for just under one year and have lost 100 pounds. I’m finally heathy and feel good about myself. I’m terrified of this no longer being available to me. Please do the right thing and let us continue on our journey of attaining a healthy future!
I was rejected by insurance to receive name brand options, despite my doctor thinking I should take it for weight loss. I wasn’t fat enough, and I wasn’t sickly enough… I guess an ounce of prevention (or 2.5mL) isn’t worth a pound of cure. I also have Crohns Disease, and as we find out more and more, we are discovering autoimmune/inflammatory disorders are calmed by GLP-1s. I know my
Crohns Disease has been in remission since coupling my biologic medication with a compounded GLP-1. Which is what works since I can draw a lower dose than is available by preloaded, brand name suppliers (Eli Lilly looking at you!). I take a MICRODOSE. 2.5mL is the starting dose, but my body tolerates only 2mL. I get too sick with side effects if I go higher. I know my body. It’s my choice. There is still profit to be made, but a monopoly on someone’s health isn’t how it’s done. DO NOT HARM ELI LILLY.
Compounded Tirzepatide via Mochi Health & Aequita Pharmacy has been life changing! My husband & I are on week 4 & we have HOPE again! Our insurance won’t cover any weight loss treatment. We had near instant results with no more food noise & feeling full/satisfied. We are able to eat healthy now. My malabsorption issues is gone. Inflammation pain decreased. We need affordable access to GLP-1’s. I’m certain we’ll need for life. My Rheumatologist was so supportive & kept repeating “it happens in nature!” He mentioned how we don’t have enough GLP-1 in our stomach naturally & it leaves too quickly. I truly believe GLP-1’s is the answer we’ve all been searching for. 💙
I am someone that has struggled with weight my entire life. I made drastic changes to my lifestyle during Covid and have been consistently working out 5-6 days a week. I changed my diet drastically and saw some results. Unfortunately genetics began to win and despite maintaining my disciplined approach, the results slowly reversed. I was diagnosed as having an insulin deficiency along with being pre diabetic, having rising cholesterol levels, moderately high blood, and sleep apnea. It was extremely frustrating.
I was prescribed compounded semiglutide in October 2024. I have lost 30 pounds. While the weight loss is nice, more importantly my blood pressure is stable to where I am off my meds for it. My blood sugar is normal and no longer pre diabetic. I no longer require a CPAP to sleep. My cholesterol is normal.
Please understand that this medication isn't a shortcut. I still workout 5-6 days a week and I monitor what I eat. It is however a life changing medicine when used correctly. Taking away an affordable option will be devastating to a lot of people that have had their lives improved
