As a 3 year resident of Sanford I have seen infrastructure fail, good businesses be delayed until they fail and minimal positive growth. Our tax rate is one of the highest in Florida. it is time for good leadership and positive growth. The existing City Leadership is inadequate. Fire the manager.

Owned a commercial property in Sanford. The city has an attitude and leadership problem. I had 3 new tenants, each had their city permits take over 2 years to open after thousands spent…leadership has forgotten that they are supposed to be trying to help small businesses.

We opened a small business in 2024 and what should have been a 6 month project was a 14 month battle with the city which cost us everything. The people who work in the city are not “for the people.” Sometimes it felt like they liked being the bad guys. And everyone we spoke with shared similar experiences. It’s no wonder businesses in Sanford have such a high turnover rate. We need to do better.

I used to live in Sanford, I know so many businesses opened and closed thought the years which sucks. For example I used to go a small business hair salon for my hair (I have curly hair) I was upset the last time when I needed a new haircut that Angie's hair salon was no longer there. I trusted her to get my hair cut since I had so many awful haircut experiences at hair salons due to my hair being curly.

The failure of the superintendent and school board to negotiate fair pay for teachers reflects a troubling disregard for the educators shaping our children’s future. By failing to prioritize competitive compensation and adequate resources, they are not only undervaluing the dedication of teachers but also placing students in unsafe and unstable learning environments. Our children deserve classrooms where educators are supported, facilities are safe, and learning is prioritized over bureaucratic gridlock. It’s time for the leadership to step up and invest in both the teachers and students who are the backbone of our community’s future. Thank you.
Jennifer supported: Tell Andy Gardner: Resign from GAPS Immediately
The GAPS school board has shown, again and agin, that they don't care about community input, they don't care about teachers, and they don't care about student voices. The student liaison to the Board can give a powerful presentation on students' needs, yet the Board votes in opposition. They have cancelled out community comments in the public record. They are frankly unprofessional and hostile when someone disagrees with their vision. Since the Superintendent was hired (and could be fired) by this Board, I am assuming that he takes his marching orders from them. Teachers and students have clearly stated the importance of smaller classes sizes. It's time to listen to their voices!

Education is the foundation of a functioning society. Teachers are the frontline workers. If teacher's articulate a need, we need to listen! We've ignored them for long enough.
