My son lives in area and drives through this intersection every day he also transports my wheel chair bound grandson in his modified vehicle. This vehicle carries my 9 year old grandson in his electric wheelchair.
Turning right from Greenwood Village to Redbank plain Rd CAN/IS a lengthy wait for a SAFE clear Break in traffic both ways to safely make a right hand turn onto Redbank Plains Rd .
Similar safety concerns when turning right from RBP Rd into GWV Rd.
REDBANK PLAINS RD AND GREENWOOD VILLAGE RD INTERSECTION NEED RIGHT HAND turn signals IN AND OUT of Greenwood Village to keep The Greenwood Village Community SAFE. While driving/travelling in The community in general. Also
From my own experience in the general community
I've lived in greensborough for 37 years. I moved here cause I liked the peace and quiet and the green vegetation. It has slowly changed along the years and now by adding tall buildings and removing the vegetation from surrounding roads due the construction of the freeway all this has gone and everything is starting to look ugly. Introducing a 17 storey eye sore near the corner is definitely going to lose what I know greensborough to be. Very disappointed by government and council to allow this to happen. Also the congestion already is at peak around this area and to add to that will be disastrous.
I quite literally get everything from this store, every shop around me costs extreme amounts of money and savers is the only alternative, it evokes a sense of community as a lot of people recognise each other and instead of the clothes going into landfill and ruining the environment they go into others hands.
The area marked for construction is a already plagued with traffic congestion & limited parking, this building will put further strain on the area. It is also a thorough fare for many children/teens communting to and from school (bus & train stops), which will likely become unsafe if this bulding is constructed.
High rise social housing has no place in Greensborough. My family moved here over 30 years ago because Greensborough is a suburb known for its natural beauty – the gum trees, the open space, and the sound of kookaburras that remind us we’re close to nature. Building something so out of scale would not only change the character of the area but also add strain to roads, services, and the local environment. Development should enhance, not overwhelm, the unique charm of our neighbourhood. High-rises belong in the city – not in a suburb that people choose for its peace, greenery, and community feel.
We didnt move 45 mins out of the city, to be surrounded by high rise buildings. This is not in keeping with the existing landscape, and values of the area, also the plans do not incorporate adequate parking for tenants, and the over flow will affect the minimal free station parking that is currently available. Alternate housing options need to be looked at.
Most of us finish work late and look forward to taking our dogs for run around the park but can’t do it because it gets dark by 5-5:30pm. So adding lights to the park will be much appreciated because we love seeing our dogs happy running around and meeting other dogs.
Thank you for taking the time on reading this message.

As a pet lover and cricket player for the past 40 years, the only conclusion I can come to is that dogs and sport don't mix and that segregation has benefits for all. Blackburn is a pet-loving suburb, yet is also home to wildly popular Aussie Rules and cricket programmes. Issues between pet owners and concerned parents and players are not good for happy community relations. This can be easily addressed by creating a dedicated dog run that is safe for all.
