Kaliwa Dam

The Kaliwa Dam project in the Philippines has sparked controversy and raised environmental concerns. Proponents argue the dam is essential for water supply and development, while opponents fear its adverse impact on ecosystems and indigenous communities. Petitions on Change.org highlight the need to protect the Sierra Madre mountains and the rights of indigenous people affected by the project. One petition, supported by thousands of signatures, calls for a comprehensive environmental impact assessment and meaningful consultation with affected communities. Another petition urges the government to prioritize sustainable solutions over large-scale infrastructure projects like the dam. By engaging with these petitions, you can support environmental conservation efforts and advocate for the rights of those affected by the Kaliwa Dam project. Join the movement to ensure responsible decision-making and protect the natural heritage of the Philippines.
