Epilepsy is a cruel condition that the person has no control over. My brother was fired from his job because he had several seizures and it ripped his world apart. Some people choose to stay on pip benefits for their condition but others long for a normal life of studying and working. To treat these people like it’s their fault is disgraceful. There is no control over these seizures even through medication, ear plugs Special glasses etc. Through no fault of his own this man is being discriminated against and there needs to be more understanding and help around this subject.

As someone who personally knows a lecturer who used to work with Howe, I have heard several stories about the problems she has caused not only within the university but also in various communities. She needs to take accountability and be held responsible for her actions and the way she is trying to promote such inaccurate medical misinformation. People like her create a more divisive and unjust society and it is absolutely unethical that she is still employed by the University of Adelaide

Dr. Joanna Howe has repeatedly downplayed "psychosocial reasons" for abortion, suggesting they are not serious or medically necessary. But this framing dangerously misrepresents reality. Psychosocial reasons are not trivial. They include: • Suicidal ideation • Severe mental health conditions • Incest • Domestic and family violence • Sexual abuse • PTSD and trauma-related disorders These are deeply serious, often life-threatening issues. To suggest that abortions based on psychosocial grounds are somehow "less legitimate" is to ignore the lived experiences of women and pregnant people who are navigating unimaginable harm, coercion, and mental anguish. Minimizing psychosocial circumstances disregards the complexity of these decisions and risks pushing vulnerable people further into trauma.

This ‘professor’ needs to be stopped. I am a practicing nurse and midwife of 20 years and I am also a Christian. However I still fully respect and support the right for every single woman to make their own individual choice about whether they want to deliver a baby or not. Unlike this disgraceful liar, I do NOT let my personal views get in the way of my professional obligations and my duty as a nurse/midwife to provide the healthcare that the patient is wanting to go through with. A baby is an enormous responsibility and no woman should be forced to birth if various circumstances will make that too difficult for them or their baby. It is up to THEM and them only! Furthermore this ‘Dr’ Joanna Howe has absolutely no clue what goes on during abortions or the aftermath. We care deeply about the mother and fetus during the extremely difficult and emotional process of an abortion and we care about the well-being of all involved. This Howe woman is not a medical professional of any kind and she is repeatedly telling blatant lies about the procedures that are undertaken. She uses outdated, exaggerated, unscientific, or cherry-picked information from dodgy sources to suit her ‘arguments’ and to further her extremism agenda. She MUST be stopped and held accountable. I completely support this campaign and will be sharing with all my colleagues and loved ones.

the harmful misinformation that this ‘professor’ is spreading to further her pro-life and anti-abortion right-wing conservative beliefs is shameful and downright dangerous. as someone who has been there for my wife when she decided to have an abortion because we were not in any good financial position or emotional position to raise a baby in a healthy & happy/stable environment, i want to advocate for the fact that WOMEN should always be the ones who choose the decision that is best for them because they know their bodies and their circumstances best. this woman is spurting out her opinions that are heavily shaped by her religious views and it is incredibly dangerous. she thinks that all women should be forced to have their baby and not have the right to decide on an abortion, well - does she want to adopt and raise all the babies that are born who become unwanted or have to grow up in trauma filled unstable & unsafe homes? please share this petition and STOP this shameful individual from spreading so much misinformation and her pro-life agenda online.

I worked in several organisations for domestic violence, I understand the issues and difficulties to get stories listened to. My daughter experienced domestic violence, her ex partner was a real piece of work, told lies and set her up as well so he could get a cross order.
