We in the Bega Valley have lost homes due to fires, rising rental house prices, home ownership is too expensive for most and holiday rentals have taken the place of residential rentals, and when people are trying to find ways to resolve these issues, council sets laws that make it impossible and keep people struggling! Would the members of council prefer people sleeping in their cars and under bridges? It seems so. Obviously too narrow minded to be open to new solutions and ways forward for people in the Bega Valley.

Standing by, watching the absolute devestation of my home community during the Black Summer Fires, and having to stomach this egomaniac stroll into town after his rejuvenating Hawaiin holiday was absolutely sickening. Forcing people who had lost everything to shake his hand and become props for his photo ops. His complete and utter lack of empathy and void of human compassion makes him NO candidate for any sort of honour. If you want to give the man anything perhaps some therapy is a good start. But an Order of Australia honour - how utterly demoralising and disrespectful to the vast amount of people who are immensely more deserving. Shame!
I worked on Nauru when Morrison was Minister for Immigration and had to deal with the aftermath of his "know you will never come to Australia" comment. In 2019/20 as an NSW RFS firefighter I worked with my local brigade for six months on the NSW east Coast while Morrison went on holidays as his country burned. and told us all "I don't hold a hose, mate".
I can't think of anyone LESS deserving of an AO
Having a clearly racist person in this role undermines the objective of a cohesive society within Australia and results in issues of great importance not being aired in a balanced and comprehensive manner.
