Justice for Nepal’s Youth: Stop the Killings, End Corruption, Demand Resignations

The issue

On 8 September 2025, young people across Nepal marched to demand justice, accountability, and an end to corruption. Instead of being heard, they were met with batons, tear gas, rubber bullets, and live ammunition. Several were killed, including students still wearing their college uniforms. Their only act was to speak out for a better future.

This was not law enforcement; it was state violence against unarmed citizens. The deaths of these young people are a national tragedy and a stain on our democracy.

We call for an independent investigation into the killings, prosecution of those responsible, and proper compensation for the families of the victims. Justice must not be delayed or denied.

We further demand the resignation of the Home Minister, who bears responsibility for the brutal suppression of peaceful protestors. His failure to protect the people makes his position untenable.

Finally, we call for KP Sharma Oli, Sher Bahadur Deuba, and Pushpa Kamal Dahal to permanently withdraw from politics. For decades they have dominated public life while corruption and misrule have flourished. Their time is over. Nepal needs honest leadership and a chance for renewal.

The young people who were killed were not rioters or criminals. They were students, workers, and the future of this nation. Their courage must not be forgotten and their sacrifice must not be in vain.

Sign this petition to demand justice, accountability, and a new path forward for Nepal.
