When I saw Collin and Lindsey’s original episode I could not believe it, then I was in complete shock when I watched their After the Verdict episode. Like others have said, I am angry for them that the state went after them again instead of putting their efforts and resources toward children who are in actual danger. The prosecution should be ashamed of themselves, particularly for the appeal which totally destroyed this beautiful family in the process of reuniting. Absolutely disgusting. My heart goes out to this family - I hope they find a way to have peace and I pray one day the state is held responsible for the outrageous damage they have caused these individuals. These stories are why people do not trust the system - there are children being repeatedly abused at this moment while the state does nothing. Utterly heartbreaking.

When I first saw this story, it broke my heart to know that complete strangers can just make false assumptions and declare you guilty. When I saw the second attempts made to completely destroy this family and their lives, I was devastated. The system should not have this much power and should be helping children who are truly in danger. It is clear that this man loves his son and would never harm him. He has suffered so much at the hands of aggressive and power hungry prosecutors.

I've known collin for a couple year's and know the type of person he is. He's a great and spiritual guy who loves his family and cares about the people around him. It's unfair for him to be treated in such a inhumane way. He deserves to be with his family. It's sad that the courts can't see that even with all the proof given to them. How can we as people believe in justice when he's being treated as such...

I watched this case on Accused: Guilty or Innocent. I was shocked by the outcome of the first show, as medical professionals explained what happened during childbirth. He took a plea, not wanting to, but to get back with his family. He served prison time, and was on probation. He has done everything asked of him, and then, his parental rights were taken away, and he can never see his wife or son again. Plus, he had to serve 21 more months?! This injustice makes me so upset because I feel he didn’t harm his son at all, as per what was found out about why this happened. Please, let him be with the lives of his life — his son and wife. They need him, and he’s a good man. I don’t know how the people responsible for this can sleep peacefully. This is not right.

This is a horrible miscarriage of justice. I am a NICU/PICU nurse and the defense attorneys medical explanation is correct, in my opinion. It's not in the best interest of the child. My heart breaks for the whole family. It's truly unbelievable!

I cannot imagine the pain and suffering this father has endured! I watched both of the episodes and the after the verdict episode broke me! How can the judicial system be so cruel! This family needs to be together! The prosecutors and the state of Michigan should be ashamed of themselves! He didn’t abuse his kid and to not even look at the evidence that proves it because you’re more concerned about being re elected as the prosecutor shows everyone why the judicial system cannot be trusted! I hope he doesn’t have to wait till this kid is 18 to see him bc that’s the most corrupt and awful punishment for someone that is innocent! There are drug addicts trading their kids for drugs and parents that actually abuse their kids that are treated better than this! What a shame! I hope and pray that there is a way somehow to reverse this decision!

As a Michigan resident, I am appalled that my taxes are being used to decimate a family, and rob this child of his father. While choosing to ignore the children that are currently, repeatedly and ACTUALLY being abused, neglected, starved, raped, and murdered. How many children could have been helped with the time & tax payer money that has been misappropriated on this vindictive & immoral witch hunt? Absolutely shameful.

This is one of the most significant miscarriages of justice that I’ve ever seen. A prosecutor should not be allowed to pursue a person out of a personal vendetta. This child was injured at birth and medical experts came forward in court to testify of same. Please do the right thing and pardon this innocent man AND allow him to reunite with his son and wife. This case shows what our judicial system has become...both overreaching and corrupt. They said in the best interest of the child...no, this will have destroyed this child's entire life.
