Elvin should still be here. He should still be laughing with us, planning his future, living his life. But he’s not. Because one person couldn’t control their anger behind the wheel—and because our laws didn’t do enough to stop it. Elvin was killed in an act of road rage. It wasn’t just a tragic moment. It was violence. It was a choice. And it was murder. We are speaking out now not just in pain, not just in grief but for justice. For Elvin. For everyone who’s been lost to road rage. And for every life we can still save. Right now, in too many places, road rage isn’t treated seriously enough under the law. These acts are often brushed off as “aggressive driving” or “incidents,” when in reality, they are criminal acts that should be prosecuted to the fullest extent. People are being threatened, hurt, and killed and it needs to stop. We are calling on lawmakers to act. We demand stricter penalties for violent road rage incidents. We demand legal reforms that recognize road rage deaths as what they are: murder. We demand better systems to report and track aggressive drivers before it’s too late. Elvin’s life mattered. His story matters. And if his death can lead to change that saves even one more life, then we have to speak up now. We’re not just mourning. We’re fighting. Fighting for accountability. Fighting for safety. Fighting so no more families have to get a call like the one we did. Say Elvin’s name. Share his story. Demand action. Help us turn pain into purpose. Help us change the law so no one else has to lose someone they love to road rage ever again.
