This woman bullied my daughter into keeping her surgical appointment. After, she allowed my daughter to have necrotic tissue after her surgery. There was no treatment for it offered by her. We had to go to the emergency room because the infection from it was so severe. It took me *years* to get my daughter to where she was willing to go to a doctor for any reason with out me. She not only needs to lose her job, she needs to lose her license. I would *REALLY* like to see reparations made to EVERYONE she horrendously butchered.

“Doctor” Kathy Rumer is doing irreparable harm in one of those most heinous ways. Imagine: after months of saving and/or raising thousands of dollars for a surgery you’ve been waiting for for years (since American healthcare is a joke and your insurance won’t cover it), you come across “Doctor” Rumer. You do hours and hours of research, you look at pictures of her results from other surgeries, you read her great reviews. Her online presence looks perfect and when you set up your first consult with her, she’s warm and comforting, immediately squashing any fears you had. It’s finally the day of your surgery and your nervous energy fills the room but you know that “Doctor” Rumer is a talented doctor and in a few hours, she’s going to give you the body you’ve always wanted.
You wake up from surgery in pain, but that’s normal right? You just had a major surgery! Plus the happiness you feel outweighs a lot of the physical pain. The anticipation of being able to take off your bandages and see the results you’ve yearned for for YEARS. But when that time comes, you see a mangled mess. Maybe this is normal? Maybe you just need a little more time to heal? You reach out to “Doctor” Rumer and she tells you exactly that, again, squashing any nervousness you feel. But it doesn’t get better. It actually gets worse. And worse. Infected. Oozing. Excruciating pain. And “Doctor” Rumer has stopped answering your calls. The body you were so excited to have hurts worse to look at more post-op than it did pre-op. And you’re not getting any answers, you can’t take any legal recourse. You’re simply forced to live this way now, hating your body more than you ever had.
“Doctor” Rumer needs to be held accountable for her actions. Between using stock photos as evidence of her incredible results, deleting negatives reviews, working with transphobic lawyers to make sure she doesn’t have to answer to her crimes, she has proven she is not only not qualified to perform the surgeries she advertises but that she is a danger to the trans community.
Zoe supported: Kathy Rumer Must ResignShe rescheduled my surgery less than 12 hours before, and jerked me around for the following 2 weeks on a date before finally telling me it was canceled indefinitely. I had to argue to get my money back, and was denied my consult fee return. I was very understandably upset, and every single person from that clinic that I spoke to was- at best- apathetic, if not outright rude. We traveled 13 hours to get my procedure done by her and she never once even spoke to me herself to explain or apologize. I left a review on their Google, and they came after me, calling me a liar, and disrespectful to Kathy. I HATE "Dr." Rumer
Laurence supported: Kathy Rumer Must ResignShe did my top surgery, and was supposed to do my husbands- we traveled 1000 miles, arrived, and the surgery got canceled THE EVENING before it was supposed to happen. We waited in the area for 2 weeks for a reschedule or more information and we never got priority or clear communication and that was an absolute life changing, disappointing experience. I absolutely noticed a difference in her in-network and out of network treatment of her patients as I was out of network and paid considerably more and got way different, even decent treatment. When I made my Google comment years ago, rumer's team addressed me as if I wasn't even someone they treated! I havent been checked on after my surgery at all, and I'll need a revision. I'll share this information as much as I can. I remember being thrilled to find such an advocate, I remember wanting a professional, a good person, to work on me. And now it's done, and I feel dirty.
