Trans healthcare saves lives. Just like we believe people born with chronic conditions are entitled to treatment, trans people should be too.
Sophia unterstützt: Implement Free Transgender Healthcare in Canadawe're worried about the youth, yet we make their lives worse by letting them be them and figure out who they are. this is why so many genocides and suicides happen, because people don't let others simply exist. who cares if their gender or sexual orientation is different to yours? does that really allow for us to cause harm?
Capri unterstützt: Stop Alberta's 2024 Education Amendment Act: Bill 27- Protect Trans Youth! As a trans male teen who lives in the small town, it means the world to me to be able to have support and acceptance in school. I'm tired of the silence on the oppression and discrimination on the LGBTQ+ community, particularly regarding transgender issues. Respect Existence or Expect Resistance.
Alex unterstützt: Stop Alberta's 2024 Education Amendment Act: Bill 27- Protect Trans Youth! No child deserves to feel alienated and attacked by their government. Attacking the democratically voiceless, while knowing such actions result in rising suicide rates in an already at risk demographic, for the sake of "cause" is without a doubt evil.
Love Alberta children, don't kill them.
Caris unterstützt: Stop Alberta's 2024 Education Amendment Act: Bill 27- Protect Trans Youth!Trans people have always existed, it's hypocritical that policies that claim to 'be for the children' put an already vulnerable group of children in so much harm and danger.
Transgender people, and trasngender children especially deserve to live their lives without having to worry about their safety. As a society and as people we must fight for a future where trans people are more safe and are not systematically oppressed, and must take action to foster cultures within spaces that encourage acceptance and solidarity.
Haru unterstützt: Stop Alberta's 2024 Education Amendment Act: Bill 27- Protect Trans Youth!as an autistic student living in an area without a learning center, i know one of them could have benifitted me. i dont want any more important people who could do cool stuff if given the oppertunity to miss out on this.
ursula unterstützt: Save The Surrey Learning CentresMy name is Vee, and I am a 13-year-old transgender girl. Since I was little, I’ve known who I am. But knowing and being allowed to live as myself are two very different things.
For many transgender youth like me, gender-affirming healthcare isn’t just about looking a certain way—it’s about survival. It’s about waking up in the morning and not feeling like a stranger in your own body. It’s about reducing the anxiety, dysphoria, and depression that come from being forced into a body that doesn’t match who you are.
I know what it feels like to look in the mirror and feel like you don’t belong in your own skin. I know what it’s like to feel so trapped, so unheard, that you just want to make the pain stop. There were times when that pain became so overwhelming that I turned it inward. Self-harm became a way to cope, to try and release something I didn’t have words for. I didn’t want to feel this way, but when you are constantly told that you shouldn’t exist as you are, that your identity is up for debate, the pain builds up.
I’m not alone in this. So many trans kids feel like this because we are denied the care that could help us feel whole. gender-affirming medication drastically reduces self-harm and suicide rates among trans youth. It’s not just about comfort—it’s about saving lives.
Right now, trans kids across the country are being denied the care they need. Laws and policies are being put in place to strip us of our rights, making it harder—sometimes impossible—to access the medication that can help us live happy and healthy lives. Some of us are forced to go through puberty in a body that feels wrong, leading to emotional distress that no child should have to endure.
Davina unterstützt: Government of Ontario: Cover All Testosterone for Trans Males in OntarioI know I wish I transitioned younger, but in that I do have experience keeping your transition from your parents, it would be awful for some kids to need their permission, it only serves to hurt these kids and is not a viable law
