GrS Montreal Pathway Closure - Rally on March 31st!

Hey everybody!
First off - it's amazing to see all of you signing and sharing the petition. All of us on the back-end of this have been quite encouraged in our work as of late.
I wanted to invite those of you in the Victoria area to come to SAGAH's Trans Day of Vision rally on March 31st! The rally will be held from 12-1pm in front of the Victoria legislature on the traditional territory of the lək̓ʷəŋən People, known today as the Songhees and Esquimalt First Nations. We will be calling for the provincial government to ensure that gender-affirming surgeries remain accessible, as well as to repeal the 2024 Name Amendment Act, which requires criminal record checks during legal name changes (which significantly slows the process and raises its cost), and bars those convicted of certain crimes from changing their name at all. There will be a number of speakers there that I'm rather excited to meet, and as always, the more folks we can bring out the better! I hope to see you all there!
If you'd like to take more actions, SAGAH also has a letter writing campaign calling for greater investment from the BC government into gender-affirming care. If you are able, please do take a moment to send off a letter via their webpage - if we are able to create a wave of communication with provincial officials coinciding with the week of the rally, it will absolutely help amplify our impact!
Finally, please do continue to share this petition as much as you can! While we are excited by the engagement we've received so far, every signature we can get is important for when this petition is presented to its recipients. It's insulting to see our healthcare access restricted on Trans Day of Visibility, we must make our voices heard: We deserve better than this!
All the best, from Trans Women of Victoria.
