I’ve been operated on my Charlie twice and he clearly outlined the risks both times. He treated me with great respect and he didn’t turn me away like many other doctors. This man gave me a chance when many many others said it couldn’t be done and enjoy the rest of my time remaining. He is a saint.

The growth was compressing my Tectal plate and vain of Galen. Prior to surgery I suffered unimaginable pain and a long list of debilitating symptoms. I had no quality of life and it was unbearable. Aside from my GP Charlie was the only Dr that took my symptoms seriously. Charlie clearly explained the risks of surgery and allowed me to record the consultation if I wished. So that I could review the information again after the consultation to help me decide if I wanted to proceed with surgery. After my surgery Charlie’s team refunded me some of the costs, hardly the actions of a so called greedy man! Surgery cured me of my symptoms and I live a very filling life now all thanks to Charlie. It’s devastating to know that currently Australian patients are being denied his skills in their own country and many are having to travel abroad to seek his expertise. I will be forever grateful to Charlie for giving me my life back!

We also need access to “Keyhole Brain and Minimally Invasive Surgery!. So many Countries across the globe are supporting (yet not one Hospital will step up in Australia) It’s making recovery much harder going overseas, no family available, kids not close, and another language to decipher. Dr Teo is still supervised so WHY NOT IN AUSTRALIA?
You taking peoples/families livelihoods and choices away. Think about the advancements we can make now! other Countries are benefiting from our OAM, most trusted Australian for 7 years and our Professor of Neurosurgery.
We need Dr Teo back and quick. Our survival statistics are dismal to day the least. We need urgent training in our Hospitals instead of achieving the status quo.

I’ve seen multiple neurologists, doctors for 14 years I have been dismissed, spoken down to, made to feel like a problem. I have a very large pineal cyst that was not reported on for over a decade even though it was on every CT and MRI they even circled the cyst but never said a word Untill December 2024 I was told by my new neurologist about it. I have tried every pain medication you can think of I have then gone onto self injections like ajovy and Emgality, I have tried the new drugs and I have also received a years worth of botox treatments with 0 success and symptoms getting worse. And before you has yes I’ve tried yoga, hiking, gym, diets, meditation, natural remedies and yet here I am suffering with migraine for 2 solid weeks close to ending my life on multiple occasions. I’m lost I feel hopeless and I don’t know how much more I can take. I work a job I love but my sick days are at a record high, my weekends consist of doing the minimum as to conserve my energy for work. No family gathering attended no going to friends get togethers no nothing. My life is at a point that I just feel like it’s better if I don’t exist anymore. I feel lost I feel unheard I feel alone.

On the 23/5 this year, I will be celebrating my 7 year anniversary of having my Glioblastoma removed by him. Initially having a first surgery at home and being given up to 18 months survival, Charlie then gave me 5 years after surgery. I met with him on Tuesday, surgery was next day 🤩. I am truly blessed to still be here. I was only 48 at the time. Thank you so very much. I hope to meet you again, give you one of my cuddles and thank you personally. ♥️
