Social Security in NOT the government's money to do with as they please. It is my and my employer's money that I was forced to put in since I was 19 years old. It is for my "senior years" and not for the current administration to use as they please. If they want to return it to me, fine. I'll see that it gets invested in my future.
I am 67–worked since I was 14 and have just retired—I have done in savings which has plummeted since Trump took office.I need my Social Security check to live—Musk needs to get out of our Accounts and leave social security alone.
Social security is not a hand out, we paid into it our entire working lives so that it would be there when we are no longer able to work because of age. We deserve every penny we paid into it to live off of.
People on Social Security have worked hard and put in their time. We cannot just pull the rug out when most people on social security live only on this as their only income. This would ruin people's lives. This isn't about eggs it's their home, nutrients, health care everything would be taken away and there's no way in hell we can allow that to happen.
I have worked and contributed to social security since I was 16. I retired 3 years ago , if my husband and I lose our social security we will be homeless . Why go after the most vunerable people when the rich if taxed more wouldn’t even notice the difference.
If you do this May God have mercy on your souls , if you have one.

People work their whole adult lives paying into this program hoping to live long enough to enjoy retirement without worrying about bills AND after being forced to pay into SS AND MEDICARE, now they want to take it away. I will lose my house AND apartments cost more than my mortgage so I will become homeless
It is becoming very hard to pay ever increasing prices on everything including higher property taxes while my retirement income is fixed and not growing. Seniors are feeling the effects of the high inflation and it is not sustainable.
My husband and I moved here from Iowa in 1987 and LOVE TN! Several years after our move to our dream home in Murfreesboro he developed cancer and I lost him as well as a large part of our retirement savings. Now it's a real struggle to try to stay in my home with maintenance and the taxes being a big part of that. I have seen a lot of programs for the young but seems the seniors are forgotten. I believe this is one of the most important things that can be done easily for our seniors, mostly on fixed incomes.
I had a great grandma I suspect this happened to. I alleged because I have no hard evidence, but she was never alright after we moved her there. Sad. Hope she receives justice!
