Supporting the elderly in the community is very important. It could be your parent, your grandparent. The bowling club is a huge part of life for some members and to expel an elderly person is simply cruel.

We have to many cases of abuse within care all settings to ignore the fact we need cameras which would also cover the staff for certain things.
Safety should come before privacy,we have people losing lives,taking their own life or recieving abuse and cameras should lower the risk of them all .

He was catheterised almost immediately to make him "easier to care" for ie. so he could be neglected for longer. He contracted a UTI and went to hospital where he was left alone so long he fell out of bed trying to get help. He died from the fall. Unforgiveable. Care workers should wear cameras. The police do. No excuses.
Lindsay unterstützt: Stop elderly care abuse and make it law that carers wear body-worn cameras at workAs a support worker of vulnerable adults of all ages from 18+ and having first hand witness this type of behaviour from staff and also been a whistle blower on this type of behaviour then I think it's vital to ensure people are protected it would also protect staff against false allegations . Unfortunately there is too much of this behaviour in the profession x
