My 73 year old mother lives on the top floor of her building along with other elderly residents. 8 weeks ago the elevator broke down and Sanctuary Housing Association have done nothing to repair it. This has lead to residents unable to go out.

Not fixing the lift is simply neglectful. They would not do this to their own mother or father so they shouldn't do it to ours.

The lifts have been out of action for over 8 weeks and Sanctuary haven't even made an attempt to repair the lift. Instead they leave their residents with the only options of climbing up and down many flights of stairs.

Every time a resident has complained they have been fobbed off with that they will respond in 5 working days. 

The elevator needs to be considered an emergency repair.

Action needs to be taken now!

I feel the lift should be repaired and residents compensated for the inconvenience. 

We cannot continue to allow the elderly to be neglected.
