As someone who deeply cares about modernizing education in our digital age, I strongly support this petition to update Clinton High School's technology policies and email domain system. Having seen similar issues in schools across the country, I believe addressing these technology restrictions is crucial for student success in today's world.
Students everywhere need access to relevant educational resources and tools to stay competitive and prepare for their futures. Overly restrictive technology policies can hinder research capabilities and limit access to valuable learning materials that are essential for modern education. When schools block too many legitimate educational websites and applications, it creates unnecessary barriers to learning and collaboration.
The email domain issue is particularly concerning, as it can prevent students from fully participating in educational opportunities. Many academic platforms and programs require school email verification, and outdated or non-standard email domains can create unnecessary complications for students trying to access these resources.
While online safety is important, many schools have successfully found ways to protect students while providing appropriate access to digital resources. A balanced approach to technology access has become standard practice in modern education.
I encourage Clinton High School's administration to consider:
1. Updating the website filtering system to better align with current educational needs
2. Modernizing the school email domain
3. Implementing technology policies that protect students while supporting their educational goals
Thank you for considering these important changes that could significantly improve the educational experience for Clinton High School students.
I have a daughter I had to take out of public school. She was experiencing being bullied since middle school until it really escalated her freshman year of H.S. after a girl put a knife to her neck saying she was going to slice her and beat her up. I went to the principal and made multiple calls. He said he had investigated it 3 times and found nothing. So I pulled her out to homeschool her. Which I don't feel like I should have to do. She should have been able to go to school to learn without fear and engage in making friendships with others. Not be isolated from her peers. This bullying needs to be taken seriously. These bullies are going to grow up and do worse things in this already chaotic world. School boards, principals, and teachers need to be on the front line fighting for our children. Not being passive and sweeping it under the rug. FIGHT FOR YOUR CHILD BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY THEY ARE NOT.
As a recent graduate, it is alarming to hear that Saybrook is not honoring its commitments. The actions of the university reflects on the quality of the program, and absolutely impacts the course of our professional development as recent grads, as well as our ability to advocate for the profession in general. Please do the right thing!
It is unbelievable that a district is looking to block the ability of a school to access funds that are outside of the district after only a few months of the school opening.
They seem to ignore the early success of the school and students. My son a 6th grader has had an amazing transition. He is now an A and B student after making the transition to this school. Having the opportunity to work with new technology computers is just the beginning. Great teachers and staff that care about the student is key to the success.
Taking this opportunity from the community will damage the future of this city
Supporting OCSCS Charter isn’t about replacing traditional schools—it’s about expanding options and fostering innovation in education.
Neighboring OUSD has successfully balanced autonomous charters with district oversight, showing that collaboration can drive progress while benefiting families.
Schools like OCSCS offer transformative experiences. Career-oriented electives like Shark Tank-style competitions and College and Career Readiness programs have equipped my child with skills in innovative product ideas, research, and professional planning. Practical Life Skills electives, such as CPR training ( was also offered) , and starting tomorrow he starts with into to nutrition, these elective options have nurtured independence and preparedness.
Enrichment programs, like Astronomy that also begins tomorrow, most definitely opens an entirely new realms of exploration and understanding—sparking curiosity about the universe and inspiring scientific discovery.
Debate and Persuasive Speaking electives hone critical thinking and communication skills, preparing students for leadership roles.
OCSCS provides an education that goes beyond academics, preparing students for life. Supporting schools like this means advocating for innovation, flexibility, and impactful learning for all students.
Dr. Fisher has delivered (very close) to what was pictured to us while enrolling and certainly with the support of the Board & the community she will only help PYLUSD grow and prosper.
She is extremely welcoming and hence I take this liberty to invite ANY COMMUNITY MEMBER who has doubts or concerns about OCSCS to walk the school and see it for yourself.
To the PYLUSD BOARD,
Please keep the current (700+) and future students of OCSCS as your focus, and join Dr. Fisher - to be a positive part of their growth and future.
This school has been amazing for my son. It has got him excited about school again, at a time that is very scary for kids. You would be doing a huge disservice to our kids if OCSCS were to close down. Please let the parents decide on what is right for our kids. Our kids are not political pawns in your agenda.

I am a future OCSCS parent and my kids are so excited to attend. Please support this school so it can be better for when they come in a couple of years!

I have been a resident of Warminster since 2012. I still have a child in this school district. I don’t participate much but stay on the sidelines yet well informed. The Centennial School District Board has never been more dysfunctional, even while superintendent Baugh was serving. This said, I want to keep Dr. Bedden in our school district to challenge the bullying, egocentric, ladder climbing, politician they have as president. When the current board was voted in in 2022, Dr. Best, one of the best educators I have ever known, saw the writing on the wall and left as soon as possible. Don’t let the school board get rid of another educator whose excellence has kept our school taxes from increasing! When our schools scores are high, there are more opportunities, including grants. It helps residents, including seniors, from paying higher school taxes. When that ladder climbing politician who burned her own party member and took the role of board president gets her way by bullying, you bet your taxes will increase! Educate yourself, do your research, and vote to keep Dr. Bedden to keep your property taxes from increasing!
