I care about this issue because the Maratha Empire represents strength, self-respect, and smart leadership. Growing up, I have always heard stories about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj—how he stood against powerful forces and built a kingdom based on courage and values. That creates a strong emotional connection.
For me, it’s not about literally bringing the empire back. It’s about remembering those values—leadership, bravery, and respect for people—and seeing how we can apply them in today’s world.
As someone who has moved abroad for studies, I feel even more connected to my roots and history. It reminds me of where I come from and motivates me to do better in my own life.
Recently, NCERT has removed the map showing the extensive reach of the Great Maratha Empire from the Class 8 Social Science textbooks (2025-26/2026-27 curriculum). This map was crucial for students to understand the significant role of the Marathas as a dominant power in 18th-century India.
Following pressure regarding specific territorial representations in Rajasthan, this vital piece of historical evidence was removed, rather than reviewed.
We believe in presenting comprehensive and accurate history to our students. Reinstating this map is essential to honor the legacy of the Maratha Confederacy.
This physics exam had brought me great pain and I would like to request for a lenient correction and grace marks as the future of Bharat is in the palm of our hands, please be assured that we are all students that want to try our very best.
The set 2 which i got was very time consuming and the case based question options dont match the right answer, marks should be given to everyone for that case based. CBSE why would u change difficulty levels of sets and play with our lives. We demand justice. We need grace marks and lenient correction.
