In the United States, we have the Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence to state our freedom to speak for ourselves in any way possible peacefully.
Trump has violated those rights by silencing the opposing party - aren’t we all people?- and has gotten away with it because of his state as president. For a better USA, we deserve a place where we can speak up and not be beaten down for it, we deserve to be able to show our opinion to the world; by silencing the website where Democrats peacefully - yes, peacefully - discuss state matters, policies, and the world - which, if I may add, so do people and kids - he is violating our freedom of speech. This cannot be allowed, as we all know that the Bill of Rights and Declaration of Independence are the guidelines to the USA: they are what makes the United States the best it can be.
Let’s show the world how multiple hands joined together to make a strike peacefully can change power.
I've lived nearly 6 decades, including through the Watergate and the Clinton/Lewinsky eras, and I've never been so humiliated by the behavior of my government leaders, specifically my president. Yet he couldn't do these things without the support or acquiescence of others. We've never had infallible leaders, but integrity and good character was once at least the goal. Courage and compassion were virtues. When did the love of money become a higher virtue?
For my Bible-believing friends, compare 'Trump's response to the Afghan reporter to James 2:16 "If one of you says to them, "Go in peace; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?" He responded to her question with hollow words and pushed on. Shame is the right response to such callous words.
Trump thinks that we don’t have power because he has billions of dollars. Well he’s forgotten exactly what the founding fathers based this country on. Freedom and liberty FOR ALL. We have the constitutional right to make our voices heard and our faces seen. We the people will not sit by and watch our country be dismantled into a dictatorship. Stand tall and stand proud for this is our opportunity to take the country back for what it was meant to be. A land of the free and home of the brave.
I served 9 years as a U.S. Marine and 6 years as a federal civilian worker. Since the recent election, I have watched Republicans vilify federal employees—calling them parasites and targets—while the head of OMB openly stated his intent to “traumatize” workers to deter them from returning to their jobs. The dismantling of our agencies has created a national security threat, and now they are turning their attacks on civilians.
Meanwhile, Congress has ceded its authority, allowing the president to consolidate power within the executive branch. They promised not to touch Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security—yet those very programs are now under threat. This is a blatant breach of trust that endangers lives and weakens our national security. I urge our leaders to stand up against these dangerous actions before it’s too late.
Myself and many others in our little rural community of NC are angry that this administration is causing harm to us, but we are appalled that our Representatives have been complicit in it. We need you to hear us. If you help protect us, we will be there to defend and support you in turn. We want a d need you on our side, and we want to make this clear to you in person. Please.
