Reason for Petition:

The reason for creating this petition is to take a stand against the inhumane treatment of animals, particularly the abandonment and neglect that many innocent animals face. It is heart-wrenching to see animals left to fend for themselves in fields, abandoned homes, or apartments. This cruelty must not be tolerated.

We propose that any individual caught abandoning an animal, whether in a field, abandoned property, or other locations, be subjected to a fine of $10,000. In addition to the financial penalty, offenders should face jail time and be permanently banned from owning or caring for animals. Should they be found in possession of an animal after their conviction, they should face additional legal consequences, including more severe jail time. Furthermore, these offenders should be placed on a public animal abuse registry, ensuring that their actions are exposed, and their ability to harm animals is severely restricted.

This petition aims to create a deterrent to animal cruelty and encourage accountability for those who fail to provide proper care for animals. It is essential to protect vulnerable animals and hold those who harm them responsible for their actions.
