My Mom Dad and two uncles worked at the Us Post Office at various times and for many years. It used to be a place that one could take pride in working at. It was always hard work, often mandatory overtime, poor hours but one could support their families and know they were providing essential, sometimes life-saving service. Even today with the Internet for some older, rural or poor citizens it still their main lifeline to the larger world. Please don't destroy the Post Office for political, financial or petty reasons. Thank you.
I rely on my daily trips to our post office. I write at least one letter every day. Reaching others by mail is an extremely important part of my life. Please do not strip us of this basic human need!
It is heartbreaking what is happening to the country, to the USPS, to the services that keep us afloat. These things are the invisible glue that holds us together. Why have a government if it is not going to act in the interest of the people? If it is meant only to serve the interests of the likes of Trump and Musk, of the haves against the have nots? It's idiocy. It's plain greed and corruption, there for everyone to see. Leave the USPS alone. Leave it to the people, where it belongs.
I was part way through getting my claim fixed and they decided to hang up on me without explanation. Pushing the money that I need to simply just survive further and further away. The system NEEDS to change.
After graduating from school, i struggled For months finding an opportunity in what i studied. As i was Looking my debt kept stacking up and i had No money coming in to help me pay for them. Now I’m worried if I’ll ever be able to pay it off. And i resorted To work at a place not in the field of study. I’m still searching for that opportunity that the school told me about.
I grew up in a low-income family. Going to college was only possible with student loans. I obtained my BS and MS to become a therapist, as a mission to help others. I've been paying my loans monthly for 7 years, utilizing the income-driven repayment plan. Under this plan, my total amount owed has not been lowered at all. While I don't feel the need to file for bankruptcy, I can see how other people in a similar situation, but with fewer resources, would need this.
I began school to better educate myself and to secure a degree for a better job. Since graduating, I’ve not been able to secure a job in the field I studied in. I graduated in 2022. I was a single mother raising 3 kids. The loans helped me tremendously to get by. All of this madness. We need to have our rights given back for student loan bankruptcy. Interest needs to be cancelled. There is no way I will be able to live and support my family if I’m spending all of my earned money on a dead end degree. Please change this. Please make it affordable for all of us struggling to put food on the table and keeping a roof over our heads.
Allow student loan bankruptcy or offer student loan forgiveness. These students are trying to better their lives but once graduated they're in debt for most of the rest of their lives. Allow student loan bankruptcy for relief from endless predator collection agencies.
I would be delighted to share my thoughts on the federal student loan as I did research across the countries and I see that they don’t have to pay to go to universities and their top universities and I think that there is such a problem here in the United States of why we have to pay so much into it And it’s really hurting our pockets. I see that I have to Rob Peter to pay Paul. I have to decide my student loan or my food to eat and other miscellaneous things I need to buy and rent rent has gone way sky high and that is a problem with paying back to student loan. And also, I really don’t like bankruptcy. It’s not a good thing that stays on your record for over 10 years so I would have to say to the senators and Congress let’s give the students back their money. It is only fair.
