Monday. This week's action for Student Loan Justice...

Everyone-

Well, we did everything humanly possible to get the Republicans and the President to do the right thing and return bankruptcy protections to student loans before the mid-terms, and they chose not to.  Bad on them.  They will pay a very heavy price tomorrow, probably like no mid-term defeat that we have seen in modern times.

So be it.  Our mission continues.  I ask that you make it a point to get a call like this one onto C-span one morning in the next month.  It will help.

We have our work cut out for us going forward.  The Republicans being vicious and evil don't make the Democrats good...they aren't.  Remember, they betrayed us blatantly under Biden on both their promises to return bankruptcy to the loans, and on cancellation by executive action. I truly hope that you will make a personal commitment to yourself to actually fight this battle going forward.  Our people are our only hope.

I do have to urgently ask you to pitch in to our Gofundme or the normal channels.  If even 300 people committed to a $5-$10 monthly donation,  I wouldn't have to be constantly fund raising.

This is the first group to ever exist fighting for student loan borrowers.  We've paid our dues.  We've proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that we are uncorrupted, and fighting only and absolutely for student loan borrowers.  Unlike all the other groups.  It is, truly, this group that is responsible for nearly all of the good bankruptcy legislation to happen over the past couple of decades, and it is this group (through this petition) that started the entire national conversation around cancelling student loans through executive actions.  This group has done great things, and we will continue on that path, but only with your support.

I hope you recognize the value in that, and will help.

Godspeed,

Alan
