We travel Australia by road and air regularly, spending money in small regional towns along the way. Cash has been essential on many occasions as EDTPOS facilities in regional and remote areas are down with alarming regularity. Without cash both the businesses and travellers go without when EFTPOS goes down for any of a myriad of reasons. Cash is essential.
