I grew up in western PA and I teach at Behrend. I know why the western campuses of Penn State matter to our local communities, but our central administration at Penn State is not hearing our message. Please help them AND our PA state legislature understand why it matters to keep Penn State in our communities.

I was part of this campus the years 2012-2014, I became heavily involved in Student Engagement, was the SGA Vice President and in many other forms of student leadership! This campus is the definition of “small campus with the big heart!” This campus also brings the community together! Getting rid of this campus will be devastating and will cripple the Mercer County Area!

Penn State Shenango was a savior for my husband and myself. We were both able to work and get a degree in our hometown. We worked on campus and off. We were part of something special and we want it to be around for many more years. Many things have gone virtual, but we can still be competitive. Don't close our campus. Thanks.

I attended the Penn State Shenango campus back in 1967. It truly is a beautiful asset to the community and an institute of education for all those that attend. Our students need this campus. It’s an easy commute. Certainly is a campus with a big heart!

I attended Penn State Shenango from 2007 to 2011. The people there changed my life. I was very involved in campus life serving as President of the Human Development and Family Studies club, on Student Government, Women's Commission, and as a new student Orientation Leader. With the help of staff, professors, and peers, I was able to be my best self. I have many fond memories of my college years. Losing a campus like this would be detrimental to the community members who may not otherwise get an opportunity to get a quality education. Thanks, Michael, for starting this petition. I remember you from around campus, and that's because this campus is like a family. Please save our school!

I was lucky to work at Penn State Shenango for several years. The time I spent at the Shenango campus and in the Sharon community were truly highlights of my career. I met the most kind, caring, generous and hardworking students, faculty, staff, alumni, volunteers and community members. Look at the transformation that has happened over the last 5-10 years- this campus has too much promise and potential to close its doors.

Penn State Shenango has been the “small campus with the biggest heart” for decades now. It is a pillar of support in the Sharon, Hermitage and surrounding communities. Penn State Shenango offers individuals the opportunity to gain a Penn State degree with the biggest support network. This campus has changed lives and it is critical to ensure that PSU Shenango remains open to continue to provide opportunities and education to the local communities.

This campus means so much to our community. I went to Penn State Shenango from 2013-2016. It truly is a small campus with a big heart. My experience there changed my life, and I know I am not the only one. What I learned from classes, lectures, Faculty, the Agriculture club, and more will stay with me forever.

I was apart of this campus last year and in a pinch of time they helped me get enrolled and ready to go for the semester. They cared about me and getting my education!
