I grew up in western PA and I teach at Behrend. I know why the western campuses of Penn State matter to our local communities, but our central administration at Penn State is not hearing our message. Please help them AND our PA state legislature understand why it matters to keep Penn State in our communities.

This campus is the definition of “small campus with the big heart!” This campus also brings the community together! Getting rid of this campus will be devastating and will cripple the Mercer County Area!

I was very involved in campus life serving as President of the Human Development and Family Studies club, on Student Government, Women's Commission, and as a new student Orientation Leader. With the help of staff, professors, and peers, I was able to be my best self. I have many fond memories of my college years. Losing a campus like this would be detrimental to the community members who may not otherwise get an opportunity to get a quality education. Thanks, Michael, for starting this petition. I remember you from around campus, and that's because this campus is like a family. Please save our school!
