Yes! This is brilliantly and eloquently written. Anyone who has a true respect for equal rights, equality under the law, and for abolishing all injustices within society with genuine care to eliminate any and all forms of prejudice and inequality should sign this petition. The double standard of who may or may not be topless in public exasperates anyone with a heightened sense and respect for freedom and gender equality. As this petition masterfully points out, Europe is very much ahead of America in regard to respect of women’s rights. Extending the right to be topless to women is long overdue in America while women have had this right for decades within Europe. European women also enjoy the dignity they deserve and the opportunity to attain all social, economic and political positions within society. European women can be viewed topless just like their male counterparts, have the opportunity to put to use their innate talents to excel in any career, and have acquired leadership roles within government at the highest of levels. American women, on the contrary, are still not treated with equal respect and the double standard of allowing men to go topless while disallowing women to do the same only exacerbates the gender inequities in America. Indeed, mutual respect of rights for men and women alike actually, as is obvious to any enlightened thinker, promotes harmony among the sexes and reduces instances of violence and abuse within society at large. And let us not forget the simple fact that seemingly every American ignores: It is the fact that every human being has plenty of viewing of the female nipple within the first few months of their lives while breastfeeding for crying out loud! This means that the absurd and nonsensical notion of censoring the female nipple in the name of “protecting the children” runs entirely against logic and rational thought because every child who was breastfed has not only seen the female nipple but also has suckled on them! Not to mention, indigenous communities that are still alive and well within Sub-Saharan Africa and South America are traditionally topless among both sexes and they have been living like this for countless millennia. People of both sexes living within Western society have also traditionally lived topless at one time or another before they invented arbitrary social norms based on antiquated and puritanical religions. Free the nipple and treat both sexes with the respect they deserve!

We have a right to care, to education, to autonomy, and Planned parenthood is important to these rights.

They offer more services than you’d expect including screenings for pregnancy, ultrasounds, check ups, and even birth control prescriptions. This organization has been more of a life saver than some pro- lifers can fathom. By closing this center, you’re leaving young women, and even adults vulnerable to the repercussions of these actions. Including those that may receive care through this organization on a regular basis. No one should have to fear, fight for, or travel hundreds of miles for the care they require. If this closes then what next? Your local hospital? School? Nursing home? Grocery store? Think about it.

Taking away this resource is detrimental to a community that is so far away from any other affordable options. Womens health isn’t just about abortion, it’s also in planning a family and doing so with care.
Alexis a soutenu : Protect Planned Parenthood Clinic from Closure in PetoskeyThis clinic is a necessity for people in northern michigan. the closest facility once this closes will be traverse city. not many have the money or time to be able to travel that distance, myself included. taking away this clinic will be a grave decision which will affect thousands of people. healthcare is already extremely limited in these parts of michigan, most low cost insurances do not cover a lot of care here. planned parenthood offered a variety of finical help ranging from donations, programs, payment plans, etc.

If I was in your position, I would want people to support me. I want to make a difference in a world that is becoming increasingly hostile towards us.
