It wasn’t funny or cute but extremely distressing to the baby wombat and its mother!! Not to mention we don’t even know if they were reunited. That baby could be suffering now because of her actions! She needs to be held accountable!

Thankfully, it was a male kangaroo but both legs had been completely broken. It’s head was crushed and its tail had been degloved during the presumably heavy vehicle strike. I had to try and move this poor kangaroo further to the side of the road on a busy Saturday. There needs to be more done to alert motorists and protect the wildlife along this extremely busy road.
