Pet rent is ridiculous rent is already sky high and now it makes things even harder and forces people who let go of their beloved pets and creates more of an issue for animal shelters due to pet rent 1000s of dogs a year are put down because shelters are over ran. Families are already struggling to make ends meet and pet rent on top of paying a deposit is just greedy and unjustified. It shouldn't be allowed renters already deal with 80% of landlords being slum lords we shouldn't have to work to death just to have a roof over our heads and keep our fur babies.

As a BSA scouting leader, I know it has served as a gem for countless outdoor camp activities, settings for outdoor skills training and high adventure for many thousands of youth. The Texas Parks & Wildlife state system serves as a last vestage protected wildlife lands where one can experience being one with nature. Let’s not allow this gem of people of Texas that took so long to build, maintain and protect to be lost to the political and financial greed machine, of the few, robbing the people of Texas of this amazing treasure which in many cases are lands that gifted and donated with a trust that thier lands would be enjoyed by the people of Texas. Let us stand strong united together to oppose HB-4938 and SAVE TEXAS PARKS & WILDLIFE department.
