I have been taking action against the power stations and ash dams for fifteen years after I heard of two pre-school kids having brain cancer at Chain Valley Bay and only weeks later I too was diagnosed with three separate stage 4 cancers and four years after 61 immunotherapy treatments still hanging in. Small passive protest on side of road each Tuesday Morning at Doyalson (opposite the fire brigade. Bring your chair and coffee,
Please allocate funds for creating more greenery and shade in our suburbs on the coast for the health and safety of our children and future generations. The impacts of lack of shade and greenery are huge - increased skin cancers, and poor health outcomes due to lack of physical exercise outside. Can I please also ask that Narara (West Gosford end please also be considered - there is scant shade in our suburban area, resulting in most residents avoiding going on walks for the majority of the day, especially in the warmer months). Thank you.
As we continue to build more higher density housing, we are losing our backyard space. How amazing it would be that our streets and public spaces become our new oasis that improves air quality, manages drainage and creates shade in a way that can be so much more aesthetically pleasing.
Woy Woy and the rest of the peninsular are in desperate need of urban canopy regeneration. The fact that we have worse % canopy cover than many capital city suburbs and yet we’re on the Central Coast is a disgrace. Central Coast Council carry much of the blame for both the current state of our canopy and for the lack of action to address it so far. They now need to step up and stop making excuses.
I have watched the local greenery around my home and suburb steadily decrease with each passing year, seeing less and less birds and wild life. Change needs to come
Being one of the closer neighbouring property owners affected by this quarry proposal I respectfully ask the Mid Coast Councillors and their respective regulatory department to investigate the illegal activities that are currently being conducted on the site for the past year or so. Apart from the complete disrespect shown to the environment and community already this proposal must be rejected in it’s entirety I invite the councillors if they are unfamiliar with Shallow Bay to the site in question.
Having a quarry within 500m of our property and other Nieghbour is unacceptable in an area sits on Wallis Lake and the Wallingat River. The impact on our environment, roads and noise will be unbearable
Coomba Park, Shallow Bay and Charlotte Bay are beautiful quiet residential areas full of wildlife and beautiful national parks. Coomba Road is a winding narrow road through these areas and not fit for large trucks of any kind. Coomba Road already has a reputation of being dangerous and there are many accidents. We don’t want the noise, the dust and dirt and damage to our environment. This quarry will impact the whole environment and the residents quality of life. It would be a travesty if this is allowed to go ahead. Please do not support it.
We do not support the energy from waste Incinerator, our family moved out to Parkes a year and a half ago to get away from the big smoke and was extremely upset to know they have proposed the incinerator, we have our family here and our grandchildren, it's pollution full stop and it will destroy everyone and everything our homes and land will drop in value because no one will want to buy and live here.
