No child just disappears. One of her siblings told police that her mother said Oakley was gone. She would not be coming back. She was eaten by the wolves!! Oakley was in a loving caring home with her foster family and yet the state came and took her back to the bio family. The drug house! This family had already been reported for child abuse and drug use. They had a fire but didn't report it until ten months later. Neither parent say they know what happened to Oakley. I hope with all my heart she was sold to a family and is still alive. But I also want her to be returned to her foster family who love her SO MUCH!! Please, make these bio parents speak up so Oakley can be found and brought home. #JusticeFor Oakley

Oakley deserves justice. Both DCYF and her parents failed her. That foster family who wanted to adopt her would have loved her and given her a wonderful life. Shame on those who did her wrong! I live in Washington, so I am familiar with this case. But I just heard it again on detective perspective podcast. I think his idea of charging the parents with manslaughter is the least that the courts could do. They either need to find that little girl alive or deceased so they can have closure and get that little girl justice. Please do the right thing.

The system has failed many families and children. Oakley had a loving family with her foster parents. She knew she was loved. They returned her to her biolgical parents after being taken away. How did this happen? Her foster parents continue to advocate and search for baby Oakley while its been almost 4 years now and those monsters still aren't talking #JusticeForOakley

Mr. Hiles, Oakley's former foster father, is my high school teacher, when I heard that, I was pretty shocked. Because even before knowing him, I knew of Oakley's case, seeing her missing poster in passing everyday when on the bus. It's not fair that this poor girl was sent back to a horrible house with horrible parents, when she had amazing and loving foster parents. She should have been celebrating the holidays, she should have been at a loving home, she should have been safe. But she wasn't, and was betrayed by the system that swore her safety.

Thankful for these type of resources. This is the second time signing change.org petition for Oakley and will continue signing. Advocacy isn't only for one person it is for the plural form ---all people. There is definitely a consistent problem within DCYF and it needs to change. Public service is in place for the families of the state of WA --accountability of all public service workers is imperative for WA state resident to thrive, there is no room for incompetence---seems to be a pattern. It is awesome to see these resources and people coming together for justice! #justiceforoakley 🎀💟🎀

I just heard of this case from watching detective perspective. This is so heartbreaking to hear how Oakley was in a safe home full of love and the system failed her. I won't pretend to understand how the system works, but any regular person would be able to see putting her with her biological parents was a mistake. The warning signs were there and ignored. And this sweet little girl paid a terrible price for the systems failure. Someone needs to be held accountable for this.

My severely autistic step-grandson is 12 and DCYF is pushing hard to close his mother's case... although she has not done the work required by the DCYF program. He lives with his maternal Grandma about half an hour from us (his half-sister and "Daddy"). DCYF says they are mandated to return this child to his mother... However his mother is neither patient, kind, or loving toward this boy... She only wants custody to get his SSI for her own personal use. The DCYF case management supervisor refuses to act in the best interest of the child, and pushes to close the case by placing him with his selfish and drug using mother. This should not be allowed. Our only hope for good resolution is the Family Court Judge, who seems to understand that this boy needs his sister and "Daddy" and Grandmas in his life. His biological "Father" has met with him only a few times and wants nothing to do with this boy. "Daddy" was with his Mother from when she was two months pregnant with him. She had lost her first two children to DCYF 15 years ago due to drug addiction, who terminated her parental rights. Yet now DCYF seems hell-bent to ignore their program rules to shut the Mother up, even though she has not done the DCYF program steps. Not in the best interest of this child. Our steady involvement in his life has been intentional, because we love him and do not want to see this boy get 'disappeared' into the DCYF system. Please help audit the DCYF. And thank God for a good judge in the Family Court!

DCYF failed my siblings and myself, along with my nieces and nephews! Change needs to happen and children need to be protected over giving adults chance after chance!!!

I am currently fighting for the custody of my godchild in Rhode Island and Washington state DCF services have constantly ignored my concerns of them sending her back to their a positive tested drug addict simply because that is the father story of Oakley is what I fear for my godchild. I’m doing everything I can to fight for her. When I saw the story, I felt like I had to sign the petition as it hits Home and really hope the day does not come when my own godchild is gone because of the lack of care from DCyf
