As someone with severe allergies, I know how fast anaphylaxis can become deadly. EpiPens save lives, just like Narcan, and should be just as accessible. No one should die because they couldn’t afford or find one in time.

A fellow teacher friend told me a high school student of hers got hypothermia because he chose to wait with a woman who slipped and broke her leg on the sidewalk until emergency services arrived. The conditions were unsafe for walking commuters & as I myself struggled to cross Grand Concourse I couldn’t help but think about my students with mobility disabilities and how difficult it would be for them to get to school. Please make the call for remote learning to protect student & staff safety!
