Recently, the YRDSB school board removed the profile pictures of every student on online school, with the explanation of a few students replacing their normal profile pictures with racist, homophobic, and otherwise offensive pictures. Instead of penalizing those few students and addressing them specifically, they have decided to punish the entire school board and the students within it, removing every student's profile picture without warning. Not only is this a slap in the face to freedom of expression, but is also in violation of the geneva convention under "Collective Punishment". By signing this petition, you are campaigning to allow you and your fellow students to be able to express themselves freely by being able to change their profile picture, and not conforming to the monotony that the YRDSB school board has imposed upon us.
