To begin with, we are NOT against medical community, rather we salute all those sincere medical people who work with full integrity to save human lives. However, there are many incompetent, irresponsible people in the system who becomes the cause of negligence and thus claim human lives. So, a kind of monitoring framework is mandatory to help improvise the whole system. (I am sure this petition will get support from honest and dedicated people from medical fraternity as well).

Thus, we have devised TECHNOLOGICAL and ADMINISTRATIVE solutions which should be mandated by Government as 'standard of care' for all kind of Hospitals, Nursing home and healthcare institutions across India to help avoid these human errors and save more lives:

Instead of claiming compensation, penalty, legal filing, conviction or apology, we demand "SAFE ICUs for ALL" by implementing these solutions..

Background:

Every now and then we see various medical negligence cases around us. People who raise their voices, their individual struggle continues for long time. Still things don’t change, as it is close to impossible to held Doctor/Staff/Hospital accountable for the negligence in India. This clearly shows that individual fight will not help rather ALL of us must demand stringent measures to ensure safety and life of each and every person admitted in the closed secretive walls of ICU (Insensitive careless Unit), which may include ANYONE...even YOU or ME in future.

Majority of negligence instances we encountered in our 12+ years journey including loss of our own Father in Nov 2020 surely would not have occurred, if ICU protocols we are proposing​ here  were in place. 

Issues currently in all ICUs including best of hospitals in India :

1) No validation about what happened in ICU
2)​ Over 20+ Bedded ICU
3) Unavailability of Nursing staff
4) Absence of attendant in ICU
5) Absence of proper communication channel and escalation matrix
6) Non-sharing of ongoing treatment records
7) Wastage of precious time of doctors/Nurses
8) Absence of qualified ICU duty doctors and improvisation of ICU decisions
9) Low weightage of Centralized admission form
10) There is no Trustworthy review/feedback of hospital/Doctors/staff/facilities

Along with identifying issues, we have documented corresponding solutions. If these solution protocols get mandated by Government for all kind of Hospitals, Nursing homes and healthcare institutions then it will help avoid negligence cases and thus 'save more lives'.
