Cycling in the mountains is becoming a dangerous activity due to the restricted lane width, narrow sharp and blind corners, as well as the shear volume of riders on the roads most mornings. While cycling may bring health benefits, the activity in the local area actually causes more angst, road safety danger, frustration and out right hatred between drivers, locals and the cycling community in general. Before this explodes, and the general feeling in the community appears to be approaching a point of volitilty, we the undersigned request that effect immediatly: "ALL ROAD CYCLING IN THE DANDENONG RANGES AND LOCAL HILLS ROADS WITHIN THE YARRA COUNCIL BE BANNED AND MADE ILLEGAL"
