Hi Sheryl -

So, does this also mean that anyone who voted to tear down the clubhouse and now recognizes the club board executives and some of its representatives have been manipulating the information they are giving out in order to get their way can change their vote up until 5:00 on August 17 as well? 

Also, I'm curious, Debby Teich stated in one of her emails that the majority of "I" building owners support the tear down. How does she know this? How many units of the 60 have let the board know how they are actually going to vote. How many are for tear down and how many against? If she is going to make that statement then she should be able to provide the details. 

It's also interesting to me to note that it appears that all the owners who actually have a background in and actual knowledge of real estate development and construction are against tearing down the clubhouse (and probably were against the chickee bar teardown as well.) Why is the input of these people constantly ignored and dismissed? Can you point me to any owners (along with their credentials) who have this background and are for the tear down? This alone should cause some concern for those who think it is a good idea to tear the clubhouse down. Therefore (per Mr. Keekllas' email,)  

I am taking this opportunity to let you, my building representative, know that I demand to see a committee formed, headed by Mr. Mancini and to include community members with subject matter expertise, to evaluate the current situation and make recommendations as to how (and when) to proceed. When its actually very critical, as many people have pointed out, even if this was a necessary project it is literally the worst possible time to undertake it.

Lastly, please advise how & who is going to review and tally all the votes and if there will be representatives on both sides of the issue witnessing the vote count?  To say I'm a bit skeptical about the vote being handled legitimately would be an understatement.  Ann

Dear friends and neighbors,

I encourage all of you to read Tricia’s office repair update (including pictures) sent yesterday (August 3) and included below. As most of you are aware, there is repair work being done at the Club offices. It was thought to be a quick, relatively inexpensive project. Work required is much more extensive than expected as further damage is uncovered. Cost estimates have soared and will probably continue to go higher. A repair that should have taken two days has now taken 2-3 weeks.

This is a microcosm of what we can expect in the clubhouse. There is no way to know the end cost of a renovation, because there are too many unknowns. The repair costs in the office are substantially higher than the original estimate. Why would we not expect the same in the clubhouse?

We may well receive emails from “others” proclaiming that our executives are bringing this to your attention to influence the vote. Please do not listen to such nonsense. Our executive team knew the condition of the clubhouse after reading the Falcon report and have continuously shared this information. What you see now is just proof of the building’s condition. It is time to believe them. Tricia is presenting facts. Pictures don’t lie. Please look at her report with an open mind.

A renovation may or may not be less expensive or be completed in less time than a new build. There is no way of knowing that. And what will our end product be?? Why go down that road and spend a lot of money to probably find that the building is beyond reasonable repair?

If you have already voted for repair/renovation and if these facts and pictures have opened your eyes to the reality of a clubhouse renovation, it’s not too late. You can change your vote to Demolition by resubmitting the proxy form with renewed signatures. The office can help you with this.
