Let’s Protect the Earth
The Issue
- The Earth is here to protect us, but in its ever-most efforts to do so, it is dying at an astronomical rate. Over the years, humans have led to many issues that combat with the betterment of the planet, for example, deforestation, Mother Nature’s wrath, plastic usage, pollution of all kinds, littering, poaching, commercialism, materialism, consumption of all sorts, global warming, gasoline/coal dependency, red tide, acidification, the ending of endangered and threatened species, coral depletion, GMOs, livestock, farmland, destruction of natural resources, building production, and so many more topics that merely scratch the surface in environmental science textbooks. To some, this issue is in the back of their minds, but if not for the planet’s sake, how about future generations for all creatures? These issues won’t cease to exist until those with voices speak up for the voiceless, the weak, the at-risk, the damaged, the forgotten, the lost, the forbidden, and the pushed aside. When will we learn that there are problems outside our front door and those disagreements lie within the outside environment we live in? What will it take for mankind to seek change in the way things are conducted? Will it ever end or continue to get worse? Although this is only a petition, I am wanting to give insight to those that don’t believe, care, or are wanting more information about these truth-regarding statements and to help spread awareness to those that want to see the Earth rise among the ashes of defeat and engage in the freedom that a phoenix brings through the changes we are willing to commit to, in order to bring it closer to peace. If we don’t do something, we will all suffer—in this life or the next. The solution begins with you—what are your compromises for the sake of the universe’s being? Are you willing to help? Will you offer guidance to others? Do you care?
