As British citizens and committed supporters of the Jewish people and the nation of Israel, we feel compelled to urge the President Herzog, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and the head of the intelligence services to take decisive action in response to the ongoing attitudes from the Labour Government in the United Kingdom toward Israel and the Jewish community. For far too long, policies and sentiments that undermine our shared values have been tolerated, and it is time to stand firm.

We recognize the deep and intricate ties between Israel and the United Kingdom, especially in the realm of intelligence sharing, which have traditionally contributed to the security of both nations. However, the hostility and lack of support for Israel from the current UK government create a stark contradiction to the trust required in these exchanges. Discontinuing this relationship would send a powerful message about the importance of mutual respect and dedication to the safety and dignity of peoples across national lines.

It is undeniable that such a shift in policy could lead to an upsurge in successful Islamist terrorist activity within the UK, undoubtedly aimed at British Jews. However, our motivation is not driven by a desire to see harm come to any nation but by an urgent need to highlight the critical nature of Israel’s sovereignty and the Jewish community’s enduring struggles globally and the general lack of safeguards for the community in Britain.

Israel has consistently stood as a pillar of strength and resilience. Yet, time and time again, pivotal players like the UK, display rhetoric and actions that question Israels legitimacy and belittle the plight of Jewish peoples worldwide. We understand the risks associated with such a drastic decision and the potential ramifications, but we believe that the eventual support from a dedicated citizenry can lead to alternative strategies that maintain security without compromising integrity.

Our appeal is to reconsider the current dynamics and align practices with the principles that genuinely promote peace and respect. In fostering new dialogues and partnerships with nations that steadfastly support Israel, we can contribute to a more stable and equitable global environment.
