How your money is wasted. Central Government and Wiltshire Council follow the same Corporate Strategy.

They employ leading executives with Accounting, Legal or Corporate skills to run the day-to-day business of Central or Local Government (leaving enough to give shareholders the dividends).

These Corporations then employ, or Contract in, ‘expert’ people with skills at spinning policy and provide the framework for contracting out all Services to Corporate Enterprises.

This is largely done based on the lowest credible bid, so that those services are obtained at minimum cost to Government and passes on risk responsibility to the Contractors.

Those Corporate Contractors, having trimmed down their bid to be competitive, then must subcontract to smaller companies, or employ people on Minimum Wages.

This, of course, often involved Zero Hour Contracts for the workers, or excessive and unrealistic expectations on productivity, under circumstances of poor working conditions.

Because of the poor conditions, poor wages and unrealistic demands, the services provided are often late, inadequate, or regressive, negligent and even dangerous.

People employed are often overworked and stress, the become ill, disabled and/or move on, depleting the staffing pool until another replacement is found.

Meanwhile, the service being provided to the public is poor and unreliable. People are left with inadequate services and support. This has a knock-on effect on the lives and health.

Meanwhile, because of stagnation or cutbacks in funding at a time of increasing demand, the Central & Local Governments must generate income.

Taxes and Local Rates and Rents of properties they own are increased and the burden falls first on the local businesses and then on the local population.

The Corporations, of Course, must keep their shareholders and executives happy, so Government is forced to moderate and/or reduce the Taxes for Big Business.

We then end up carrying the biggest burden while getting inferior services of all kinds. That is why you are struggling right now. Ordinary people are the last to gain any remaining benefit.

Direct employment of Staff does not involve skimming off money to pay Shareholders. It also means that the services are directly supervised by the ‘responsible authority’, who have the duty of care, etc.

Current staffing levels of professional services are less than haft that they were 12 years ago and the direct workload has increased in addition to the extra burden if reduced staffing.

Furthermore, the level of administrative support of those front line Service Workers has been drastically reduced so that 50% of professional time in increasingly complex administrative tasks.

This is true of the NHS and Policing and Court Services as well as Central Government and Local Government run Public Services of all kinds.

Modern Capitalism is failing, and Tory Governments must borrow year on year to cover the shortfall. The National debt has increase massively over successive Tory Government since WWII.

Therefore, you are now seeing massive inflation with more problems to come. Stop voting Tory. They are dangerously ignorant, incompetent, dishonest, as well as selfish & greedy.

This last happened under a previous Tory Government when inflation was out of control, and inflation reached 15%, which businesses and banks failing across the country.
