We are now just at the point of having 100 signatures.
I know there are some who do not feel the problem is limited to Wiltshire. That is true, but we live in |Wiltshire and we each need to get our own patch sorted if things are to improve Nationally.
The fact is that despite the best efforts of a few Wiltshire Councilors and the valiant attempts of most front line staff to do the best they can for their clients, the institution is broken and the Senior Managers will not admit this.
All staff and Managers have an obligation to pass on information regarding any shortfalls in essential services to be reported up the line and eventually passed on to Central Government. It is the Law.
Local people who depend upon these critical services are entitled to know why they are failing them. All to often the problem is passed back onto the service users, by increasing the criteria for getting help.
It has become a Blame Game and she Staff who are failing because of workload stress and lac of resources are blamed for the failures and the service users are blamed for not filling in the right forms properly, etc.
This has to stop. It is creating bigger problems for the future for an institution that is already creaking and breaking at the seams.
We have to get our Council to face up to the fact they are failing and need assistance. Please sign this petition and help Front Line Staff and their vulnerable clients of all ages.
