We support Nicholas Sampson as Headmaster of Cranbrook School

We support Nicholas Sampson as Headmaster of Cranbrook School
The issue
Nicholas Sampson is a world class educator and has proven to be an exceptional Headmaster of Cranbrook School over the last 10 years.
Nicholas has been responsible for a building a positive culture, an incredible team of staff, implementing the IB and gaining agreement to take the school Co-ed into the future. He has also led the school through COVID, the acquisition of Wolgan Valley and a complete rebuild of the senior campus.
It is clear from media reports that the Council President, Jon North has tried to force Nicholas Sampson to leave the school against his will. Nicholas Sampson lodged a formal complaint about the treatment he has received from the Council President more than four months ago and unfortunately this is still unresolved many months later.
Parents are only now just realising what has been going on behind the scenes. Many parents have written or communicated to the School Council to express their concerns and remarkably their letters and concerns go unacknowledged and ignored.
The vast majority of Cranbrook parents, staff, students, old boys and donors admire, respect and support Nicholas Sampson and want him to remain on as Headmaster. They are saddened and appalled to hear that he is not being supported or treated appropriately by the School Council. He has done so much for Cranbrook School and they rightly expect the School Council to adhere to the highest standards of integrity, fairness, decency, care and good governance.
Without a speedy resolution there is a real risk that Nicholas Sampson will leave Cranbrook and many key staff will follow – seriously impacting the stability of the school and the education of our boys.
Please sign this petition now and let your voice be heard.
Please show your support to keep Nick Sampson as Headmaster of Cranbrook School until at least the end of 2024 or beyond so that he can see through the transition to Co-ed.
