To: Congress 

     We the people of The United States of America need action from our government!  We trust you to help us when we need help and we DEMAND it! Businesses are closing down left and right as well as millions left without a jobs.

      Covid-19 cases continue to surge and break records everyday. Currently about 1 out of 100 people have Covid-19 and are recovering. We have twice as many people currently unemployed in comparison to months prior to Covid-19 ravaging the U.S. This will only rise as the virus spreads exponentially. The writing on the wall indicates impending shutdowns and restrictions are inevitable. It would be remiss to not be proactive at this stage rather than reactive. Our Congress' lack of action is coming across as non-chalant, apathetic and heartless to all those suffering.

       As a Chef in the hospitality industry I have witnessed the suffering first hand. Owners have lost their small businesses, employees have had weekly hours reductions as well as furloughs and many have missed out on pay while sick. This has became our "New Normal". The depth of this ongoing trauma is acute and quite blatant, especially to those who are the rough hands that prop up this nation.

     We have bailed out the our housing, airline, and motor vehicle industries with our tax dollars in the past. Where is the American People's bailout? Where is our Unemployment benefits relief? Where is our small business relief? Where is relief for people who get sick? Where is the help to continue to provide to help us pay our bills? The dominos are falling and we will not forget how you have let us down. We are suffering and demand our politicians to act NOW!!! We need our Congress to show urgency. You work for us and the American people will fire you just like any other employer.

    The sleeping Elephant is waking and need our leaders to reflect our needs. Many of us are scared of the future and how we are going to shelter and feed our families. HELP US!!!!
