We Deserve to Sleep Safe – Not Live in Fear

As a resident of a neighbourhood constantly facing break-ins, young kids with machetes, stolen vehicles, and repeat offenders walking free due to weak & in effective bail laws, I say enough is enough.

Recently we had a young should stabbed at the bus stop in Wyndham Vale, our hearts cry for this family. Time to say it is enough.

Our families can’t even sleep peacefully anymore.

Crime is escalating. People are living in fear. And while politicians seem too busy in Parliament or only show up during election time, we’re left to deal with the consequences— all alone.

We’re calling for real action, not empty promises:

Arrest offenders on the spot.
Tougher bail laws and stronger sentencing or deportation from this country.
More powers for our police and judges to act decisively and take action.
More patrols, more police visibility, and more resources on the ground
Hire more officers – give them the support they need to protect us
We need a new, fully staffed police station in our area—urgently. Delays cost us our safety and loss of family.

There’s no point in spending billions in budgets if we can’t even feel safe in our own homes.

Letting this crisis continue is unacceptable, we deserve better protection, stronger policing, and leaders who listen before it’s too late.
